You will visit Alexandrovsky Garden in Moscow even if you do not intend to. This Garden is a natural continuation of . Alexandrovsky Garden is favoured by people of Moscow to have an evening stroll there. It is one of few place where it is allowed to sit on the grass so lots of teenager and young people are taking this liberty right next to the pillar of Russian power – the Kremlin. This garden is really well kept and it is an enjoyable place to meet with friends.

Alexandrovsky Garden was commissioned by Russian Tsar Alexander I as the garden of military glory after Napoleon defeat. The garden was designed by quite a famous architector Bove who had built many houses after the fire of 1812. Interesting detail: usually the fortresses are built on the riverside but right not there is no river in the vicinity of the Kremlin. There used to be river Neglinka, but Bove decided to change the natural landscape as it did not fit his vision of the garden and the river was confined into a tube underground.
