The promenade in the Kremlin will always include visiting Alexandrovskiy garden. Since 1967 there is 'an eternal flame' - in Soviet legacy and in nowadays Russia it is the highest symbol of respect to the soldiers who were killed in the wars. The 'eternal flame' in Alexandrovskiy garden is placed on the tomb of Unknown Soldier.

In WWII 20 millions of Sovjet people were killed and it is said that there is not a single family in Russia that is untapped by WWII. So every Russian person would have someone to remember at this place. In addition there are hohour guards that used to serve at but in 1997 with the new political climate the guards were moved to the tomb of Unknown Soldier. The change of the guards is also an occasion that attracts a lot attention by tourists and also locals.
