If you are in Moscow on a business trip and happen to have free afternoon, do not try to make a promenade through the streets of Moscow. In 15 minutes you will be stressed out, frustrated and in life threatening situation. Instead of enjoying architecture and views, you will spend most of the time trying to stay alive in the crazy traffic. During the weekdays cars are virtually everywhere including the pedestrian zones. Cars drivers disregard any rules and comfort of pedestrians trying to overcome traffic jams. If it is autumn, you have high chances of being splashed with dirt and mud. Fun, ha?

So if you happen to have an afternoon free, spend that time in a museum or a part. Another option - the notorious Red Square and the Kremlin. On a week afternoon it is nearly empty.

Almost every old European city is built on the river side. It used to be vital from the defense point of view, but now it is extremely practical from the recreation perspective. A boat trip is one of the ‘must-do' during summertime.

Moscow river runs through the city. The boat trip will take about an hour and you will cross Moscow city from east to west (or south-ost to north-west). It is about as fast as with the underground, but on the boat you will also enjoy beautiful views and fresh air. The prices for this summer for one trip are still 300 rubles (12 USD or 8 EUR).

Among the major sightseeing points that are seen from the riverside are of course the Kremlin and Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. You will have plenty of options to make good photo-shots from the boat. Boat trip could be a great opportunity to escape the city when the temperature hits above 30 degrees and asphalt is about to melt under your feet.

As for the other sightseeing views you will need to disembark and to get lost into the city-jungles. But leave that explorations for the day when the air is not so hot.
